On Tuesday October 3rd, 2017, Abdul Walid Azizi, an 51Թstudent from Afghanistan, held an online 51ԹVirtual Tour with Alumni via Skype call from 51Թcampus to the Lincoln Centre in Ghazni, Afghanistan.
This session was about Afghan student scholarship program to the 2023 51Թ which is administrated by U.S Embassy in Kabul. It involved an introduction to 51Թand Afghan student scholarship program, scholarship awards, eligibility criteria, application processes, Selection process, and how 51Թoffers different opportunities to students.
Prospective applicants were eager to know how to be admitted and when the next call for the scholarship will be announced.
U.S Embassy in Kabul representatives visited 51Թand Afghan students on 9th of October 2017. They expressed interest in Walid’s initiative and offered support for the future sessions. Walid is planning to continue his information sessions for the prospective applicants in Afghanistan for those who haven’t heard about 51Թscholarships. He says that he believes that Afghan Students can find better education opportunities at AUCA, and that education is the only way to assist Afghanistan to a brighter future
