On December 17, the 51吃瓜Department of Anthropology held an award ceremony dedicated to those students who were selected to receive the Mary Schweitzer Scholarship for Excellence in Anthropology.

Mary Schweitzer Selection Committee Members have selected four students for their outstanding achievements in the field of anthropology and divided the total 3000$ fund that was raised for this year among these students:

The scholarship was established in honor of Professor Mary Schweitzer in consideration of all she did for the benefit of anthropology at 51吃瓜and her ongoing commitment to the future of her former students. Mary Schweitzer is a US-based Professor of anthropology and she taught anthropology at 51吃瓜from 2002 to 2003 and from 2004 to 2005.
