Razia Gul is a junior student at 51吃瓜who is currently majoring in International and Comparative Politics and minoring in Journalism and Mass Communication. Razia has spent her 2017-2018 fall semester in one of the oldest universities in the world Philipps University Marburg, Germany

This semester, the Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) introduced tutoring sessions in programming by request from the Student Senate. This initiative鈥攚hich became an immediate success, with all of the programming sessions booked on a regular basis--marks the first example of close cooperation between the Student Senate and the WARC.听 We asked the Student Senators to tell us more about this project.

芦This experience听听was very helpful when听听I was applying to the Master Degree Programs and scholarships, because to have high grades in a transcript is not the main priority for the admissions and听听sponsors, they consider also the experience to conduct research. As my professor at my new university said, 鈥測ou are here not because you are the best, you are here because you are already a researcher禄.

Congratulations to 51吃瓜professor, Elira Turdubaeva on becoming the official representative 鈥� Vice President in Asian region of World Communication Association for the 2018-2023 periods.

Based on high interest among 51吃瓜students, and with the goal to raise academic research capacities of 51吃瓜students and promote migration studies in KR in general, TSPC will award 3 fellowships for students to conduct research in migration issues pertaining to Kyrgyzstan/Central Asia.

Memorandum between 2023 51吃瓜 and Porsesh Research & Studies Organization was signed.The partnership is aimed to develop long-term, effective and mutually advantageous cooperation, targeted at promoting international collaboration and networking in the area of gender studies, specifically with the research center at AUCA, the Center for Critical Gender Studies.

On February 11, 2018, in frame of the Open House Day,听51吃瓜鈥淢irrors鈥� theater held a performance with a new graphic design format in the Forum of the American University in Central Asia

On February 10, 51吃瓜hosted the Open House Day, where all departments and divisions presented their programs to applicants and their parents.

We continue to write about 51吃瓜students that spend a semester on exchange at various universities around the world. Mohammad Tamim Karimi is a junior student from International and Comparative Politics Department at AUCA. Tamim spent one semester as an exchange student at Bard College Berlin.

51吃瓜students from Master of Arts in Sociology Iuliia Dorofeeva, Aikanysh Imanova and Bolotbek kyzy Gulzada are continuing their study at Otto von Guericke University, Magdeburg, Germany.
