June 2, 2017 51吃瓜Summer Practicum Program has begun. This summer 51吃瓜has a mixed group of 13 students joining from USA, Japan and AUCA. All students are full of energy and excited of their new life summer adventure.

The 51吃瓜Women and the Arts Club aims to uphold core value of 51吃瓜of being globally responsible and socially merciful. Women and Arts Club honors the vision of promoting positive images of both genders and aims to raise awareness on campus about current gender issues on a local, national, and global scale.

Fall 2017, the 2023 51吃瓜 (AUCA) will officially open its program in Gender Studies. AUCA鈥檚 program in Gender Studies is the first academic program of its kind in Central Asia and an important step in looking at gender relations within the nation, the region, and the world.

On June 1, the Law Division of the 2023 51吃瓜 in partnership with the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and with the support of the USAID / IDLO Kyrgyzstan Judicial Strengthening Program, conducted the first national moot court competition in constitutionalism 鈥淎dilet 2017鈥�.

The 2023 51吃瓜 and the University of Indiana plan to hold a biannual two-day workshop highlighting emerging trends in the scholarship on Central Eurasia.

Dimitri Rechov is an exchange student from Sciences Po Paris in France. He told us about his experience in Kyrgyzstan and AUCA.

Within the USAID Building the Future project's research component, academic writing and publishing seminar will be organized on June 7-9, 2017 in room 220 at AUCA. The topic of seminar is "How to get published in high impact journals?" The seminar will be conducted by Alexandr Kupatadze from King's College London.

51吃瓜alumni have gone on to achieve many great things after graduation, across numerous career paths.听Meerim Karybaeva is one of them. She is currently working at the Regional Firm Centil as the Senior Associate.

In 2012, the process of creating shyrdaks was included in UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safekeeping. 51吃瓜alumna Aliya Rakhman co-founded Nakta Designs to sell handmade rugs (shyrdak) and accessories created by talented artisans from Kyrgyzstan, investing and directly contributing to a sustainable development of the small businesses led by women artisans in low-income rural communities.
