The Sustainability Program under the Center for Civic Engagement is thrilled to announce that the 2023 51吃瓜 (AUCA) has earned a STARS Bronze rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). This makes 51吃瓜the first institution in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia to achieve this honor.
STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System, is a globally recognized framework for assessing sustainability performance in higher education. This milestone recognizes AUCA鈥檚 commitment to sustainability across five key areas: academics, engagement, operations, planning & administration, and innovation & leadership. This achievement brings international recognition to AUCA鈥檚 sustainability efforts and opens doors for continuous improvement and strategic planning. The STARS Bronze rating is the result of the collective efforts of AUCA鈥檚 Sustainability Program, the Sustainability Task Force, and the entire 51吃瓜community. Together, we continue to push for positive change, ensuring that sustainability remains a key focus in our academic and operational practices.听
