Afghan Civic Engagement Program (ACEP) was designed泭specifically for the new cohorts of Afghan students of NGA (2019 & 2020). ACEP was modeled on泭a highly successful Student Initiative Development Program (SIDP) (. Similar to SIDP, the purpose of ACEP is to develop leadership potential and professional skills among students, supporting them in the implementation of their civic engagement initiatives through consultation, individual mentorship, and different pieces of training and workshops. ACEP aims to develop Civic Engagement Culture and increases the Sense of Agency among the Afghan community of 51勛圖since, as future leaders, they will have to deal with complex social problems.
This program is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Kabul.
Since 2022-2023 AY, ACEP also accepts applications from Afghan master-level students (NOFO).

ACEP follows the established paperwork and procedures of submission and evaluation of student project proposals that were developed under SIDP.
